Hello to all. I decided that a great way to keep in contact with everyone (my beloved family and friends) was to (reluctantly) start a blog. I am not one to want to go publishing the details of my life for the world to read, but the thought that in actual fact the world would not read my blog, gave me some consolation.
So I will chronicle the goings on here and hopefully allow everyone to get to know the Eternal City as I discover it each day. (You can laugh at my spelling mistakes too, and send corrections!)
It is now 12:43 and I must run to Mass... I will write more later.
Loads of love,
N

Natalie,
Unless you want to practice public blogging and be rather careful about what one writes all the time (never hit send or save when tired), keeping a private blog for only friends and family may be useful enough and possibly wise. Friends create a safe place and gentle correction fairly short memories of errors, weaknesses and the stuff of human imperfections. Human persons do not grow well when their entire life is under the glare of the public eye and the internet memory is long and hard for public figures who get into controversy. Given that you have left both your Toronto, your Vancouver friends and family behind you may need a more private space or place. Drawbacks include managing approvals who's on the list etc. It all depends on your situation. Congrats on taking the time and effort for a public blog.
